Project Healing Waters

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing is a national organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings. A very active NJ group works with veterans from the VA hospital in Lyons, NJ, holding fly tying sessions and hosting fishing outings at the Pequest hatchery and other locations, and they could always use more help. Please visit the New Jersey Project Healing Waters website to find out more information about this fine program or to volunteer some of your time and talent.

Help Out at the Edison, NJ Fly Fishing Show

As in years past, JSTU will be having a booth at the Edison, NJ Fly Fishing Show to be held Jan. 26-28, 2018. Note that this year the show is at the NJ Convention and Expo Center (Raritan Center) in Edison, NJ rather than the previous location in Somerset, NJ. We need your help in staffing the booth during the entire run of the show to talk to visitors about our organization and its work, and to help promote TU's conservation mission. The hours are Fri. 9am to 6pm, Sat. 8:30am to 6pm, and Sun. 9am to 4:30pm. Even if you can only stay an hour, it will be a big help. Please contact Paul Osborne to let him know when you can help so we are sure we will have all times covered.
